Many employees have little training in health literacy. Understanding the language of healthcare is like building the Tower of Babel and navigating the healthcare system is akin to finding the way through the Hampton Court maze. The consequences of both can have a life or death impact on the lives of your employees. What role can employers play to mitigate the consequences of low health literacy? Join us on June 5th at the Omni Park West Hotel to learn how three DFWBGH employers are helping their employees learn the “foreign” language and navigate the complex healthcare system. The Panel discussion will focus on challenges of low health literacy and innovative strategies to engage and empower employees to be their own health advocates and make informed healthcare decisions.
